Setup detects WinGet but does not run it without confirmation. Install Git for Windows, Node.js 20.19+, pnpm 11.6.0, and Visual Studio Build Tools with the C++ workload for node-pty. Local mode uses SQLite, so no database server install is needed; MySQL 8.4 is only required for hosted-mode work. Studio uses argument-array process spawning, taskkill.exe /T for process trees, path.win32 policy checks, and real path canonicalization for junctions. UNC roots remain disabled unless explicitly added to trusted roots. Enable Windows long paths for large repositories.
